Basketball Futures and props would be desired on an NBA Finals series between the Lakers and Celtics. The two long-time rivals would attract a lot of attention from supporters and bettors. It would also be a tremendous revenge series for Los Angeles who lost in the 2008 NBA Finals to the Celtics. The Lakers earned the title versus Orlando last season but they have not forgotten what occurred two years ago. A number of the Lakers would like to get revenge and beat the Celtics in the NBA Finals.
The Lakers and the Celts have a long-standing rivalry, having faced each other 11 times in the NBA Finals, the most recent time being the 2008 NBA Finals. The teams split an amazing 32 NBA championships, making these two teams liable for more than half of all NBA championships. In the 1960s, the Celtics claimed the NBA championships 6 times. The 1980s were dominated by the Lakers and the Celts, with five championship wins going to the Lakers and three to the Celts. Three of those NBA Finals series featured clashes between the Celts and the Lakers, with the Lakers winning two. The Celtics looked to slide into mediocrity, not participating in the NBA Finals until 2008, when they met and beat the Lakers. They’re now aiming to renew their previously lengthy rivalry.
The NBA Finals will launch on June 1st or on June 3rd dependent on how long the conference finals continue. At this time it appears that a Lakers-Celtics series in basketball futures and props is very feasible. The Celtics have controlled the Magic in the Eastern Conference Finals whilst the Lakers are simply better than the Suns in the West. If the Lakers play the Celtics in the Finals, the Lakers would have the home court advantage. They would not have the home court advantage vs Orlando since the Magic finished with a better record.
The Lakers and Celtics each have established they can win games on the road in the course of the playoffs. The Lakers in fact can be a better value in road games than at home where they are often overpriced. Boston is also better on the road versus the number as they proved in the first two games vs the Magic.
The most favored team in the NBA are the Los Angeles Lakers. They've got the star power in Kobe Bryant, the Hall of Fame head coach in Phil Jackson and the celeb admirers like Jack Nicholson. The Celtics will not be far behind however since they have the history and the big three of Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett. Now they have Rajon Rondo as well. With 17 NBA championships, they also have a somewhat stronger track record than the Los Angeles Lakers in terms of championship wins. A Los Angeles-Boston series would certainly be the ideal scenario for the NBA, ABC, and for the sportsbooks. Both teams are exceptional forces and would boost the interest among enthusiasts and bettors in the NBA Finals.
