Have you actually stopped to think of the number of recollections you have together with spouse? I do not mean looking at the big occasions like your great wedding or the birth of kids or even family vacations. I am talking about the day-to-day things that have happened that both of you have shared. As with most folks I am sure that a number of the remembrances bring a grin to your face while others bring a tear to your eye, but they are all important since they are what have shaped your loving relationship.

My husband and I will be married for twenty three years in a couple of weeks. We've had a lot of experiences with each other. One of the funniest ones came to mind a few days ago when I was window shopping for shoes. I wandered past the men’s athletic shoes and spotted a pair of converse All Star shoes. My husband was also in the same store but he was looking for some dress shoes. I asked the sales kid if they had the converse All Star in a size 13. He said that he was sure they did. I told the boy to deliver them over to my hubby. I lolled around the racks of running footwear waiting for the sales clerk to deliver the basketball shoes to my husband. When my husband sat down and opened the shoe box he immediately began searching the shop for me. When we were first married converse All Star shoes were the in shoe.

My hubby is just 6 feet in height but he wears a size 13 shoe size. I in comparison wear a size 5 shoe. While he was trying on the converse chuck taylor shoes he bought, I had been also trying a pair. The pair were very bizarre to look at next to one another. The moment I saw the size of his shoe,  I'd asked the clerk if they came with oars. The salesman and I chuckled for some time over it. When ever I see high-top converse sneakers I think how large they appear in a size 13 shoe. It took years before he would enter a shoe store with me after that.

After the salesman brought him the box of converse chuck taylor shoes,  I went on the search for my own pair of shoes and left my hubby to try on his own. When I was waiting around for a clerk to bring me my size I noticed a couple of young teenagers giggling. I glanced behind me to see that my husband had donned the converse all star shoes and had rolled away his pant legs so the whole converse chuck taylor high top and part of his skinny leg was showing. He was prancing through the store viewing himself in all of the mirrors. A lot of customers were pointing and having a laugh at his display. His skinny leg honestly did represent a broom handle sitting on a green water ski. Thank heavens he only showed one of those legs and not two.   Naturally he had to come and put his arm around me and broadcast to the other customers that I had chosen the converse sneakers for him. I'm to research and find out if there are converse shoes women wear. Maybe bright yellow.
